Scion recently launched the sixth edition of its art tour, “Installation 6: Video.” The annual tour, designed to expose established and emerging artists and their work to audiences across the country, features a distinctive selection of international talent and visits Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, Austin, & Wichita, Kansas.
For 2010, the tour focuses on the video medium, “Installation 6: Video” challenged 10 artists to create non-narrative video installations that will transform five unique exhibitions.Working again with director Monihan Monihan, our film is joined by artists Dust la Rock (Brooklyn, NY), Eric Nakamura (Los Angeles, CA), Saelee Oh (Los Angeles, CA), French (London, England), Josh Graham (New York, NY), Monihan Monihan (New York, NY), Mark Mothersbaugh (Los Angeles, CA), PMKFA (Tokyo, Japan), Sage Vaughn (Los Angeles, CA) and Ill-Studio (Paris, France).

The weather in New York is craaaaazy. Made me think of the last NYC snow storm where I was shooting Saturday Night Live funny man Fred Armisen in and around a Soho rooftop. Lots of laughs and a ton of snow.

A few shots from the AW09 collection Eiichi asked Tyler Askew and myself to create for the Japanese brand Minotaur. Also, the last shots before Taylor McFerrin cut the dreads.
Julie Le joined forces with Lipstick Queen’s Poppy King to create a limited edition fiery cake ball made of red velvet cake blended with spiced cinnamon frosting, dipped in chocolate, & rolled in coconut flakes with a red hot candy in the center.
I took some product shots and ate a ton. If you haven’t tried Julie’s balls you’re missing out, more info here.
Ali D. was on hand to help me with a New Era shoot yesterday, here he is letting the ladies know as we got our lighting together. We go back to the days of Underoos so it was great fun having him around.
A belated XMas gift from Miss Julie Le, I love it! The Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S polaroid camera was made famous by my friend Yone and I’ve wanted one ever since my last visit to his studio. Big thanks Julie!!!
I brought it to a product shoot for the good people at Enki on Wednesday, I didn’t shoot still life with it but I did catch Alec, Ro & their kids afterwards.
Just got a great holiday gift from one of my favorite photographers, David Burnett. A signed copy of his recent book Soul Rebel. An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley. Soul Rebel honors Bob’s 60th anniversary and is a must have for, well, everyone. Bob Marley people! David Burnett!
David is a photojournalist with more than 4 decades of experience covering the news and tempo of our age. He is co-founder of Contact Press Images, the New York-based photojournalism agency now entering its 33rd year. Furthermore, in a recent issue of American Photo magazine Burnett was named one of the "100 Most Important People in Photography." Boom!

This was the final shot before my Canon 5D died, RIP my friend. And yes, I did learn to wakeboard on the same river that they shot “The Host!”
